For my art blog, I try to keep everything pretty much focused on marketing my own art. However, I use my reblog blog for reblogging and featuring art and posts I enjoy, so kind of?
Thank you! :)
That’s kind of a tough one. I wouldn’t let them publish your work without some sort of payment, but if you’re not sure of the magazine’s credibility than they might take the artwork without paying you, which would essentially be a scam. Perhaps if you didn’t give them the artwork until they had paid you? I’m sorry, I wish I could give you more advice, but I haven’t worked much with magazine publishing.
If anyone has any advice to add please share!
Yes! Listen to Katy Farina, very good advice!: “Definitely ask to be paid before. Also, get a contract written up! If they don’t want to write a contract, write one up yourself (its p easy). If they refuse to sign a contract, run. Don’t work without a contract and at least 50% payment up front”
Thank you very much!! :) But I’m afraid I don’t take requests. Sorry!
